How do I create a new time entry?
In the Time/Materials Window click the New button. Follow the drop down list prompts to enter the job and time details. The new time sheet record you have just created will appear in the Time Sheet List in List View.
How do I enter time against a task?
The Task Schedule in the Time/Materials Window will display a list of tasks that have been assigned to the user who is currently logged in. To enter time against these tasks click the Add icon.
Why can’t I insert a task into the Task Schedule of the Time/Materials Window?
The list of tasks displayed here have been assigned to each user from the Tasks Schedule in the actual Job Bag.
Why can’t I see any tasks in the Task Schedule of the Time/Materials Window?
Only tasks that have been assigned to you, the currently logged in user, will be visible. If there aren’t any tasks visible this means you haven’t been assigned any tasks.
How do I print a Time Sheet List/Report?
In the Time/Materials Window, click the Print Button and select an option from the pull down menu (eg. Time Sheet by Name). Click Print to preview.
How do I view the total amount of time spent on a job?
In the Time/Materials Window click the Print Button and select Time Sheet by Job from the pull down menu. Click Print to preview.
What does the red star in the Time/Materials section on the Main Screen represent?
Each time you login to Briefcase, a red star may appear in the Time/Materials area of the Main Menu, notifying you of any tasks that have been assigned to you. The red star shows how many tasks you have, and tasks that you haven’t yet added any time to.
How do I remove the red star from the Time/Materials section on the Main Screen?
You cannot remove the star, but if there are no pending tasks for you the star will not be present. Once you have added time to a task, marked the task status as complete or deleted the task in the task schedule, the number in the red star will update accordingly.
